Ever wait staff we talked to on our trip to Nashville, "RAVED" about the food at Rolf and Daughters. It is tauted as the BEST ITALIAN IN NASHVILLE. We now concure. We were told, no reservation, no service, period. After a full court press, reservations were secured at 5:15 on a Saturday. We dressed up and were off to find this legendary dining spot. After driving by 3 times, (they have no sign), we were able to find them in Germantown on the bottom floor of a building. You enter to a darken inside with high energy throughout. The excitement is growing. Our reservation was first available and we were seated in an outdoor courtyard. Our waitress (Stephanie) was sweet and made suggestions on how to order here. She did not lead us astray. Did I mention, Italian is my least favorite cuisine. The beet falafels were incredible and flavor packed, could of eaten 15 easily. The unique twist and flavor made you smile. The cucumber and fresh peach salad blew the doors off. Fresh, light, tasty and outside the box, great job and would love the recipe for these two. The anchovies with lemon spaghetti was over-powered by the lemon and I love lemon. The chicken was incredibly moist, mostly de-boned and served in a lemon / garlic confit. It was very good and tasty. We were lucky to get in at Rolf and Daughters. The menu changes daily depending what is locally available. The chef has a playful soul and a knack for pairing ingredients together for a delicious result. If you are planning to go to Nashville, call ahead and make reservations. A fun and delicious evening was had by all. Thanks for a lovely evening, Rolf and Daughters.

This was a very lovely restaurant. It had a great atmosphere, and I loved how it was decorated. The food here is so, so tasty. We had the scallops and a couple of pasta dishes. I would recommend getting the Fusilli dish if it's available. I had the rigatoni, which I didn't love. To be fair, I did ask for tweaks to the dish due to dietary restrictions, so maybe that's my fault. While this is a fine dining restaurant, my only other gripe is that I found the portions to be on the small side for the prices. The service was fantastic and the staff was very polite. They gave good recommendations and were very good about coming to check on us. Overall I would give it more like 4.5 stars rather than a solid 4, and I would visit again. Do note that you will want a reservation ahead of time (probably a couple weeks out) if you don't want the communal seating.

I have been wanting to come here for a while now. Came here to celebrate a friend's birthday. It's kinda hidden, I drove right past it, if it weren't for the cicadas we would have set outside. The inside is really quaint and intimate, perfect for a date, GNO, small group. We only ordered the sea scallops, the dish was very interesting never had those flavors before and we were intrigued to try it. 3.5 stars We shared the pastured chicken and rigatoni. Both were absolutely delicious. The chicken was tender and cooked to perfection. The sauce on the chicken was perfection, 5 stars. The rigatoni was a hearty dish, a slight taste of spice, which I love spicy. The dish was very flavorful and I would give it 4.5 stars. Our waitress said both the chicken and rigatoni are stables on the menu, everything else changes seasonally. I would totally recommend and can't wait to come back.

In the outskirts of Nashville resides this little treasure. The food is exquisite with outstanding service.

I've been meaning to update my review as this is easily my favorite restaurant in Nashville, period. We have been here at least 15 times and just can't recommend enough. I do see how their food can seem intimidating and unapproachable to some people. But I trust them unequivocally with their dishes as they know what they are doing. Some of the best, freshest salads. Beautiful pastas. Lovely raw appetizer options. Also- I say this to my husband all the time but their cocktails are top tier. Their bartenders kill it in regards to coming up with these cocktail recipes. Always perfectly balanced and unique. Nashville doesn't have many stand out restaurants to me personally but Rolf is there.

I certainly did not go to Nashville expecting to get great Italian food. This place is a gem for sure. The ambiance was fantastic, and the food and service were equally amazing. The menu is unique, and it's changing constantly as they use fresh ingredients. We tried the tempura rapini to start, and it was absolutely incredible. I've never had rapini prepped the way it was. And it paired perfectly with the pink lemon. I think the Ragu was my favorite pasta of the meal. It was absolutely delicious. I also tried the garganelli pasta. The real show stopper for me was the dessert. I got the creamsicle ice cream, which really tasted like a creamsicle and had orange slices in it. Topped with fennel, it was a flavor explosion. It was easy to get a reservation online. I wouldn't pass up on the opportunity to check this spot out if you're in Nashville. It's just outside of downtown a quick 5 minute drive. It was worth it in every way.

Words cannot describe this meal. What a diverse menu, and each item with different notes that are equally interesting; the perfect combos of bites!!!! My standout dish was the rigatoni pork ragu, it tasted like an Italian Nona had made my dinner and boy I wish I didn't live in LA!!!! (Or that they could deliver it to me here!) Come here, that's it. Awesome service, simple but intimate ambience, and one of the most unique menus out there. Shared 4 dishes and a dessert between 2 people!

Made reservation online in advance. Parking was easy on the street. Seated immediately. Service was immaculate. I dined at the bar, as a party of one. Ordered the house shrub - delicious, I recommend. The sourdough was good, I didn't care for the seaweed butter. The sweet potato dish was tasty but not overly visually appealing. In fact most of the dishes were not (visually appealing). The trout seemed overly sauced with bernaise. The mulberries on the chocolate tart were yummy. The highlight of the evening was the conversation at the bar. Met some wonderful individuals, some also traveling solo and we had much in common.

The outside space is cute, the signage could use some enbiggening. We couldn't quite find it with confidence. Another couple walked into a cbd looking shop across the street and had to be guided to the building alongside us. The space inside was small but bright and cozy. Plants abound. Very cozy. The service seemed varied. The table next to us, which was very close, was getting wine and cocktail suggestions to pair with their food choices. We were not. When asked about suggestions they couldn't suggest much. We were dining before a show, so we grabbed a few simple things and didn't stay too long. But we never felt rushed and the food paced very nicely. Everything was plated wonderfully and tasted great. Simple flavors done very well. If I'm in the area again I'd give it another go.
